APS has officially rebranded to Evolv
Earlier this year, Approval Payment Solutions (APS) announced it was rebranding to Evolv . As we continue to make this change, we know it is important to keep our merchants, partners, and sales channel informed.
On July 1, 2021, APS officially rebranded publicly to Evolv.
Here’s why we made this change
For over 23 years, we have been serving merchants, partners, and our sales channel, nationwide. Throughout the years, we have established over 150 partner and endorsement relationships, which has allowed us to serve over 16,000 business owners – all of which we have done from our humble headquarters in Indiana.
In 2017, we embarked on a journey to augment our operations, and over the last five years, we have seen tremendous growth.
- We purchased a new facility and improved our resources, upgrading our technology and expanding our customer and technical support departments.
- We invested in VIV, a small digital marketing company, enhancing our product offering to include a full suite of digital marketing solutions. We’ve since acquired a majority interest in VIV, and our growing Digital Marketing Division serves the marketing needs of nearly 1,000 small businesses.
- We established and introduced a Shared Services Program, centralizing administrative functions of sales offices across the United States. Through our Shared Services Program, we have partnered with over a dozen sales offices, expanding our representation across more than twenty states.
- We acquired more than two dozen portfolios from sales offices and independent agents, increasing our total merchant base, and allowing us the opportunity to negotiate exceptional rates with our Payment Processing Partners.
Like every business and individual alike, we were affected by the COVID pandemic. Like everyone, we were forced to make changes. We worked remotely, upgrading our equipment to carry on virtually. We found new ways to connect with our partners and merchants. We modified our services to meet the demands of our merchants, including
- upgraded terminals to contactless to help keep customers and employees safe
- added virtual payment options to help keep customers and employees safe, and allow businesses to accept payments even if they had to close their doors
- created eCommerce stores to keep businesses operational and expand their ability to do business
- introduced Dual Pricing to offset credit card processing expenses
- expanded our recurring credit and ACH payment options for merchants
In early 2021, we examined the last five years, exhausted from the crusade but proud of our accomplishments. We found one thing to be consistently true – evolution is in our blood. What began as a small sales office in 1998 has grown into something so much more. As we looked to the future, we knew it was time to change once again, this time, our entire brand.
Moving forward, we will bear the name Evolv, which we believe better represents our company, its divisions, and our partners.
